My name is Luke Papini, I am 20 years old and on the 18th of April 2012, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
I am grateful to all the people involved in my treatment, particularly my surgeon Gus Alusi, who has not only helped in a professional capacity but continues to give me tremendous support.
As a way of showing my gratitude, I am raising money for The Patrick Wild Centre. The centre researches Autism, Fragile X Syndrome and Intellectual Disabilities. Gus Alusi has pledged to raise money for the centre, which is working hard to research and provide therapies to manage the symptoms of Fragile X Syndrome, a condition that affects Gus’s son Kenz.
To raise money we are having a ‘SHAVE OFF’, where family and friends will be joining my hairlessness by going ‘bald’ to raise money for the charity and have lots of fun.
If you would like to support me and the work of the Patrick Wild Centre then you can give online via the University of Edinburgh secure website.
