Register with the PWC

Advances in clinical and cognitive research are impossible without the help of people who volunteer to take part in our projects. We are extremely grateful for those of you who have already taken part in our research, and we encourage anyone else who is interested to get in touch.

PWC Contact Database

If you wish to be informed about future studies looking for participants, future events, or simply receive our newsletter, we encourage you to join the PWC (Patrick Wild Centre) Contact Database. This database is for people with or without autism, fragile X, or learning disabilities, their family and carers, as well as professionals (clinicians or educators).

To join the PWC Contact Database, you simply need to complete an online consent form and provide a few personal information (such as age, gender, or diagnosis – if any). We ask for these personal details so that, if you’re interested, we can contact you only about studies looking for participants who fit your personal profile. That way, you can be sure we will not overwhelm you with emails. You can unsubscribe at any time.

People in the database can receive our newsletter, invitation to events, and emails advertising studies that are looking specifically for people matching their personal profiles, depending on what they choose when they register. People who choose to be informed about future studies will be informed about new studies, but participation is of course voluntary. To know more about the PWC Contact Database, please visit the FAQ page, as well as the Privacy Notice page.

Are you wondering what it is like to take part in research? Find out more details and useful resources on the What to expect page.

PWC Friends List

We used to also run the PWC Friends List, for people who only wanted to receive our newsletter. We have now merged the PWC Friends List and the PWC Contact Database. If you wish to hear about us, receive our newsletter, or receive our updates, you can now join the PWC Contact Database. If you are not interested in hearing about upcoming studies looking for participants, simply leave this option unticked when completing the registration form.

If you have any questions, please visit the FAQ page, the Privacy Notice page, or contact us on [email protected].
