Understanding research

It is important for us at the Patrick Wild Centre to make sure that participants, collaborators, and members of the community have all the resources they need to understand and engage with our work as much as they wish. We believe that empowered people will be able to bring valuable insight into our work. However, we are also aware that the world of clinical and fundamental research can be intimidating and confusing, especially because it uses words and methods that are not well-known in the outside world.

In this section you will find resources to better understand some of the words and methods we use in our research. The glossary lists and explains complex terms you can find in the rest of the website. The research methods page is similar to the glossary but only includes terms used to talk about the methods and practices we use at the Patrick Wild Centre.
